He added that they are working to evacuate the armed forces of Ukraine as well. He expressed gratitude to the teams of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations for their help in evacuating civilians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday to take a “powerful step” and visit Kyiv on May 9.
