India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Lu Ming-Che and Tang Kai-Wei of Chinese Taipei 21-11, 21-12 to enter the Thailand Open final on Saturday.
From the start, the Indian duo never lost control of the game despite some slip ups and held onto it till the very end.
While the Taiwanese pair seemed to have gained the upper hand in the first half of the second game, seven consecutive game points gave the Asian Games gold medallist a 17-10 lead.
The Indian duo will face China’s Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the summit clash.
Other Indians in fray are Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa, who will fight against Thailand’s Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai in the women’s doubles semifinal.
